First up this week are MiniLaLa's normally $33.50, this week only $24.00. This is a great opportunity to add to your nappy stash with some gorgeous nappies that are perfect for showing off in the warmer months!

During the month we will also be discussing the benefits of modern cloth nappies and would love to share some stories of nappy cloth users experiences. If you have a story you'd love to share we are encouraging you to share with other mums. Perhaps you have a heavy wetter and would like to share some tips or a brand of nappy that works best for you? Or you might own every brand under the sun and want to share your favourites? We would love to hear from you so contact us here and leave a message with a brief idea of what you might like to share.

We will also share our own experiences over at our simple living blog. We use a variety of cloth nappies and also make our own pre-folds from pillow slips!

Thanks for stopping by,

Amanda x

Organic Toothpaste

Jack N' Jill Natural toothpaste has just arrived at Little Eco and I am super excited as this was one of the first toothpastes I used as a little girl myself. One of the most popular products here at Little Eco are the re-useable snack and sandwich saks by Wastenot Saks. These saks have a food safe nylon inside with cute cotton prints on the outside.

There are tutorials on the internet to make your own saks too. They are relatively simple to make but just ensure that your lining is food grade quality. You can also reuse purchased zip lock bags. Just shake out the crumbs, rinse and sit upside down in a dishdrainer. They will last a long time before needing to be replaced.

Other options are stainless steel containers, which we currently don't carry here, but look forward to in the future.

What do you use to carry snacks and sandwiches that saves you money and is safer for the environment?

Book Giveaway

I am thrilled to have received an order of books that promote family connections and outdoor activities for kids. A huge thank you to the Facebook fans and 'Amanda Brooke' readers that supported Little Eco well before the store established and my family for their patience and support.

My hope for Little Eco is that in time it will become a useful and inspiring resource for parents seeking information on raising their children in an earth friendly and natural way. The greatest compliment will be when a parent tells me they learnt something from visiting Little Eco.

As Little Eco is sooo brand new I would appreciate any feedback you might have from your visit whether it has been a long or brief. I would particularly appreciate any negative views of the website as it will help us to make improvements.

To celebrate the Little Eco store opening we have some little giveaways. If you would like to leave a comment about your visit today you could win one of these fabulous earth happy prizes!!!!

Prize 1:

A $30 gift voucher to use in our store

A Minilala wetbag (useful even if you don't have little ones)

A 50ml tube of Mum's Secret multi-purpose cream

A Little Eco bib (your choice)

Fawn and Milk Goats Milk Soap

Prize 2:

A $20 gift voucher to use in our store

A Minilala wetbag (useful even if you don't have little ones)

A Little Eco bib (your choice)

Winners will be chosen at random by a random number generator.
