Using re-useable food packaging saves money and lessens the amount of waste going into landfill. One of the most popular products here at Little Eco are the re-useable snack and sandwich saks by Wastenot Saks. These saks have a food safe nylon inside with cute cotton prints on the outside.

There are tutorials on the internet to make your own saks too. They are relatively simple to make but just ensure that your lining is food grade quality. You can also reuse purchased zip lock bags. Just shake out the crumbs, rinse and sit upside down in a dishdrainer. They will last a long time before needing to be replaced.

Other options are stainless steel containers, which we currently don't carry here, but look forward to in the future.

What do you use to carry snacks and sandwiches that saves you money and is safer for the environment?
